HALI’s Country Coordinator Harrison Sadiki traveled to Zimbabwe this week to attend a Wildlife Capture Africa course on chemical and physical restraint of wild animals. The course provides lectures and hands-on training for professional field veterinarians at the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve, a large multi-use lowveld game ranch situated in the Chiredzi District of south-east Zimbabwe.
The course is offered annually, and is organized and taught by global leaders in the field of wildlife capture and restraint, many of whom are friends of the HALI project and UC Davis Wildlife Health Center. Have a great time Harrison! We look forward to reading some blog posts about the course when he gets back to the HALI field office next week…
